Kevin Lamont

Co-founder

Kevin Lamont began his career in construction
in 2003. A longtime resident of Toronto’s
Beaches neighborhood, Kevin developed a
strong foundation in building through formal
training and extensive industry experience. His
tenure with the respected local renovation firm
Walder & McSweeney provided invaluable
hands-on exposure to the unique challenges
of older Toronto homes. Over the years, Kevin
has cultivated a deep expertise in blending
thoughtful design with skilled craftsmanship to
transform spaces while preserving their
character.

Kevin and Ben began working together in
2012, forming a strong professional
relationship rooted in mutual respect, shared
values, and complementary strengths. Kevin
brings over 23 years of experience and a
creative vision shaped by decades of working
in Toronto’s east end. His passion for building
and mentoring has been key to the
development of the team.

Ben Morris

Co-founder

Ben Morris, the other half of Silverbirch Builds’ founding team, also grew up in the Beaches. He entered the industry in 2009 through yard and landscape work, later completing his carpentry apprenticeship at George Brown College. Ben honed his skills over eight years with a reputable local contractor before teaming up with Kevin to launch Silverbirch Builds.

With more than 15 years in the industry and a Carpentry Red Seal License, contributes a calm, grounded presence and a steadfast commitment to excellence that keeps projects running smoothly. His dedication to quality, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship continue to shape the high standards of every project the company takes on.

Connor Foley

Carpenter’s Apprentice

Connor began working in the construction field in 2019 and quickly found a passion for the hands-on, collaborative nature of the work. With a background in mechanical engineering from George Brown College and an introduction to the trades program, he discovered a strong interest in carpentry—something sparked early on through woodworking projects with his dad.

Being part of a small, tight-knit team is a highlight for Connor, who values knowing everyone on site and contributing to projects where the results are tangible. Seeing each phase come together makes the work especially rewarding, and he hasn’t looked back since.
